Actors Journal – Chris Sullivan

Home / Actors Journal – Chris Sullivan

Actor and musician Chris Sullivan first gained notice playing Tom Cleary in The Knick, which aired on Cinemax. He currently stars as Toby in the NBC series This Is Us, for which he earned an Emmy nomination as Best Supporting Actor in a Drama Series in 2019. Sully, as he is known, got his start in improv theatre in Chicago. Since then, he has appeared in numerous television programs and films, including The Drop, Guardians of the Galaxy (Vol. 2), Camping, and Stranger Things. He lent his voice to the talking camel in GEICO’s “Hump Day” commercials and is the lead in a band he formed called “Sully and the Benevolent Folk.”
