Actors Journal – John Larroquette

Home / Actors Journal – John Larroquette

New Orleans-born John Larroquette is a very tall, very funny man, known for his work in Night Court, Stripes, The Librarians, Meatballs II, Blind Date, and currently, The Good Fight. He won the Emmy Award four consecutive times for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series and begged not to be nominated for a fifth time. He has appeared in more than a hundred movies and television programs, often as the comic foil to the straight characters. He has a distinctive, resonant voice that he developed as a DJ in the 1960s and carefully crafted mannerisms that make him instantly recognizable on screen.
