Shuler Hensley, who stands 6’4”, has the distinction of having played the Frankenstein monster three times, most notably in 2004’s film Van Helsing. He also played The Creature in Mel Brooks’ Broadway musical “Young Frankenstein,” which was based on the 1974 film of that name. He’s known for his roles in Odd Thomas (2013) and The Greatest Showman (2017), and was awarded the 1999 Laurence Olivier Theatre Award for Best Supporting Performance in “Oklahoma,” a musical for which he later won the Tony Award (2002) as Best Actor in a Musical. Hensley hails from Atlanta and is known there for the Schuler Award, an annual award given to talented musical theatre students in Georgia’s High School Musical Theater.
