Matt is a third generation native of Durango. A member of Durango’s Merely Players he most recently portrayed Nathan Detroit this Spring in Guys & Dolls. Other Merely performances include Lucius and Bull (Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane), Henry (Book of Will), Frank (Hands on a Hardbody), Caliban (The Tempest), and Duke Frederick and Silvius (As You Like It). Durango audiences have also seen him as Pastor Greg in Hand to God and Ebenezer Scrooge in the radio play of A Christmas Carol both by Doctuh Mistuh Productions. A graduate of CU Boulder’s BFA program, he spent 10 years in NYC acting, writing, and performing stand-up comedy. Matt is a featured writer for Durango Magazine and winner of the 2024 Broadway World Denver Award – Best Performer in A Play for his role as Henry in Book of Will.
