Stage Directions Reader – There Are Monsters
Joy is delighted to be a reader for this year’s Durango Playfest. Locally, Joy has appeared with the Fort Lewis College Theatre Department in Eurydice (Mother) and with Merely Players in Small Mouth Sounds (Joan), Murder On The Orient Express (Mrs. Hubbard, earning her a Broadway World Regional Award), and Mamma Mia (Donna). She also portrayed May in Fool For Love at the Durango Arts Center. Regionally, Joy is a Carbonell Award winner for her role in The Mystery of Edward Drood. Some of her film and TV credits include Badwater, SafeHouse, Desperate But Not Serious, The Agency, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Star Trek: Voyager, Evening Shade, Man From Left Field, and BL Stryker. Above all, Joy cherishes her favorite role as Mother to her precious daughter, Dewachen.
