Director, Dr. Arthur Goldman’s Birthday Party (2023)
Brendan Burke has been Artistic Director of Shadowland Stages, a small professional theatre located in the Catskills region of New York, for 19 years. At Shadowland, he has produced and/or directed over 90 productions, including the 2022 world premiere of “Safe Home,” co-written by Tom Hanks, and the American premiere of “Bang Bang” by John Cleese. This summer, Shadowland Stages is co-producing the world premiere of Dan Lauria’s “Just Another Day,” which had a reading at the 2022 Durango PlayFest. Upcoming directing projects include “The 39 Steps,” “Off-Peak,” and “Miss Bennet: Christmas at Pemberley.” Other regional work includes productions at Seven Angels Theatre, New Jersey Rep, Chenango River Theatre, Half Moon Theatre, and FringeNYC. A member of SDC and AEA, he is also an instructor in the Department of Theatre Arts at the State University of New York at New Paltz.
